Timing is very important post examination. The Board receives the candidate's exam results from the Conference approximately three business days after the candidate completes the exam. You do not need to contact the Board to determine if the Board has received your results. The Conference and the Board have an established and efficient process to receive exam results. Instead, please complete the following steps:
- Complete an online application for a Funeral Director License and/or Embalmer License and pay the applicable fee. Log in to eLicense and select "Apply for a New License" to complete the application. If you are seeking to obtain both a Funeral Director License and an Embalmer License, an application is required for each license. Application Form(s)
- Complete a new BCI and FBI criminal records check and request to have the results sent directly to the Board. The Board cannot use the previous results submitted at the beginning of the apprenticeship. If you have correctly completed both steps, eLicense will send you an email that your application is received by the Board. The Board will notify you via email if the application is missing any of the required items. Please keep that the Board has a policy requiring all items to be submitted to the Board 10 days prior to the Board meeting. If all the items are not received, the Board will not approve the application until the following Board meeting.
